NEFF kitchen case studies under £25K: Inner Peace Interiors
Irrespective of their small space, these clients wanted an ambitious kitchen layout to match their love of adventurous cooking. To achieve this, Camberley-based Inner Peace Interiors recommended a complete remodel resulting in a design that splits the room in two. Here, Andy and Tracy of Inner Peace Interiors explain their unorthodox approach:
THE DESIGN BRIEF
Divide and conquer
We spoke at length with the customer to ascertain their preferences and working practices within the kitchen. What transpired was their desire for a kitchen with two distinct zones – one dominated by the working elements of the kitchen and the other dedicated to dining.
Challenges and solutions
The client wanted us to find a central position for their induction hob, but unfortunately a soil pipe that runs between the two windows sent us back to the drawing board. Our solution was a central peninsula that carves the kitchen in half. This fulfilled two conditions of the brief: to create a very clear divide between the working and dining elements of the kitchen, and to place the chef at the heart of action by locating the hob on the peninsula. This decision dictated the ceiling extractor which was installed in a purpose-built bulkhead to provide efficient extraction without encroaching on the space in the kitchen.

During our initial conversations with our clients, we talked in detail about appliances to make sure we could offer them the very best NEFF appliances to complement their lifestyle. Front runners included a NEFF oven with Vario Steam, which appealed to the couple owing to the iconic Slide&Hide® door offering unrestricted access to the oven interior and maximising the limited space they had available.
To boost their cooking capability, the couple also specified the convenience of a combi-oven with microwave function and the flexibility of an 800mm-wide Flex Induction hob. Further appliances include a fridge-freezer, integrated dishwasher and washing machine.
